Urdu Tarbiyyat Survey 1. Did I fulfil my promise of abstaining from Shirk? Yes No Alhamdulillah, always remain steadfast, pray and strive to abstain from Shirk Remember, Allah does not forgive Shirk if one dies without repentance. The Holy Prophet ï·º said: “Anyone who dies worshipping others along with Allah will definitely enter the Fire and anyone who dies worshipping none along with Allah will definitely enter Paradise.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari) 2. Did I spend my previous year completely free from lying? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah keep us steadfast in speaking the truth. Seek Forgiveness (do Istighfar), pray to Allah for strength to avoid lying and for His support. The Holy Prophet ï·º said, “Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise” (Sahih Al-Bukhari). 3. Did I keep myself away from such gatherings which could lead to negative and impure thoughts? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah protect us from harmful influences. Strive to avoid such gatherings and seek Allah’s guidance (through prayer and remembrance). The Holy Prophet ï·º said, “A person is upon the religion of his close friend” (Sunan Abi Dawud) 4. Did I protect myself from trespass of the eye? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah keep us steadfast on the right path. Make Istighfar, seek Allah’s help in controlling your gaze and remember the Hadith: Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah(ra) asked the Holy Prophetï·º about the sudden glance (that is cast) on the face (of a non-Mahram). He commanded me that I should turn away my eyes. (Sahih Muslim) 5. Have we tried to avoid all acts of immorality and disobedience this year? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah be with you Pray sincerely for Allah’s help. Remember the Hadith: The Holy Prophet ï·º said: “All the children of Adam commit sins, and the best of those who commit sins are those who repent.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi) 6. Did I keep myself away from all acts of cruelty? Yes No Alhamdulillah, continue to embody kindness. Reflect, make Istighfar, and seek to develop compassion. Remember, the Holy Prophet ï·º said, “Whoever is not merciful to others will not be treated mercifully” (Sahih al-Bukhari) 7. Did I protect myself from every kind of treachery? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may we continue to be trustworthy. Make Istighfar, seek Allah’s strength to avoid treachery. As the Holy Prophetï·º said, “He who acted dishonestly towards us is not of us.” (Sahih Muslim). 8. Did I try to protect myself from all kinds of conflict? Yes No Alhamdulillah, continue to promote peace. Reflect and pray to Allah for guidance to avoid conflicts and remember the Hadith: “The strong man is not the one who can wrestle, but the one who controls himself at times of anger” (Sahih al-Bukhari). 9. Did I keep myself safe from all rebellious thought? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah keep us steadfast. Seek Allah’s help in achieving peace of mind and discipline, keep striving, remembering the prayer of the Holy Prophetï·º: “O Allah. I beg of Thee the right guidance, safeguard against evils, chastity and freedom from want.” (Sahih Muslim). 10. Was I unbeaten from my passions? No Yes Alhamdulillah, stay disciplined. Do Istighfar, seek strength to overcome and remember the Hadith: “Whoever controls his anger, Allah will keep His punishment away from him” (Sunan Ibn Majah). 11. Did I offer five daily prayers? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah strengthen us in prayer. Reflect on its importance, seek guidance and remember “The first thing a person will be questioned about on the Day of Judgment is prayer” (Sunan Abi Dawud). 12. Was I attentive in offering Tahajjud Prayer? Yes No Alhamdulillah, continue with devotion. Seek to cultivate the habit of Tahajjud and praying for Allah’s support, remembering “The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is prayer at night ” (Sunan an-Nasa’i) 13. Did I invoke Darood on our beloved Master the Holy Prophetï·º? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah bless our Holy Prophetï·º. Remember the importance of invoking Darood and make it part of your daily routine, remembering the hadith: “The person closest to me on the Day of Judgement is the one who sent the most Salat upon me.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi). 14. Did I try my best to not inflict any pain on my own kin and other people? Yes No Alhamdulillah, keep spreading kindness Reflect on your actions and seek forgiveness, as the Holy Prophetï·º said, “The best of you are those who are best to their families” (Sunan Ibn Majah). 15. Was I regular in doing Istighfar (asking for forgiveness)? Yes No Alhamdulillah, continue this blessed habit. Remember the importance of Istighfar. Keep seeking forgiveness, asking Allah’s help and remembering the Hadith: “By Allah, I seek forgiveness from Allah and I turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day” (Sahih al-Bukhari) 16. Was I attentive towards praising Allah? Yes No Alhamdulillah, stay consistent. Reflect and start incorporating praise daily. May Allah make it easier for you, “The example of the one who remembers Allah and the one who does not is like the living and the dead” (Sahih al-Bukhari). 17. Did I try to protect myself from all forms of customs and rituals and covetous thoughts? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah protect us from materialism. Reflect on the value of simplicity and seek Allah’s help. “Verily Allah does not look to your bodies nor to your faces but He looks to your hearts,” and he pointed towards the heart with his fingers.” (Sahih Muslim). 18. Did I try to adopt myself according to the commandments of Allah and the Holy Prophetï·º? Yes No Alhamdulillah! May Allah keep you steadfast on the path of righteousness Reflect and strive to align yourself with the teachings of Allah and His Messenger ï·º. Remember, it is never too late to make positive changes. Seek Allah’s guidance and help. 19. Did I try to adopt humility and meekness? Yes No Alhamdulillah, continue to embrace humility. Reflect and seek Allah’s help to overcome pride. 20. Did I try to leave pride and vanity? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah help you maintain high morals. Reflect on areas to improve and seek Allah’s guidance, remembering the Hadith: “No one will enter Paradise who has even a mustard-seed’s weight of arrogance in his heart, and no one will enter Hell who has even a mustard-seed’s weight of faith in his heart.” (Sunan Ibn Majah). 21. Did I try to achieve the best level of behaviour? Yes No Alhamdulillah, continue on this path of growth. Seek Allah’s guidance to renew and strengthen your faith, and remember the Holy Prophet’sï·º words: “The best among you are those who have the best manners and character” (Sahih Bukhari). 22. Did each day see an improvement in me in regards to my faith and its glory? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah deepen your love for Islam. Reflect on your priorities and seek Allah’s guidance, keep striving, remember that the Holy Prophetï·º was asked, “What deeds are loved most by Allah?” He said, “The most regular constant deeds even though they may be few.” He added, ‘Don’t take upon yourselves, except the deeds which are within your ability.” (Sahih Bukhari). 23. Did I march forward in the love of Islam so much so that I considered it more important than my children? Yes No Alhamdulillah, kindness to Allah’s creation is a blessing. Keep praying for steadfastness, remembering that the Holy Prophetï·º said, “None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.” (Sahih Bukhari). 24. Was I improving myself in the love of Allah Almighty’s creation? Yes No Alhamdulillah, continue to use your abilities to help others. Keep striving to be merciful and helpful, remembering the Hadith: ” The merciful are shown mercy by Ar-Rahman. Be merciful on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from Who is above the heavens.” (Sunan At-Tirmidhi). 25. Did I keep trying to bring benefit to Allah’s creation by using all my abilities? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah increase your obedience Continue praying for strength in obedience. Keep striving and remember that the Holy Prophetï·º said, “There are three things in which the heart of a believer does not commit treachery: sincerity in action, goodwill towards those in authority, and adherence to the community (the Muslim congregation).” ( Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Musnad al-Madaniyyin, Hadith of Jubayr ibn Mut’im (RA), Volume 4, Page 80. 26. Did I keep praying that I may keep up my level of obedience to the Promised Messiah (Peace be upon him) and develop it further? Yes No Alhamdulillah, always remember the 10 Conditions of Bai’at. Pray that Allah accepts your Bai’at, strive to act upon the 10 Conditions of Bai’at, and write to Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih requesting prayers. 27. Have we established such a bond of brotherhood and obedience with The Promised Messiah (Peace be upon him) that all other worldly relationships become insignificant and trivial in comparison? Yes No Alhamdulillah, continue to strengthen your connection. Reflect and seek guidance for a stronger bond, remembering the Hadith: “None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself.”(Sahih Bukhari). 28. Did I keep praying to increase my obedience and love for Khilafat? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah accept your prayers. Reflect on its importance and renew your intention. Continue praying and ask Allah for steadfastness, remember the Holy Prophet ï·º said: “He who obeys the leader, obeys me; and he who disobeys the leader, disobeys me” (Sahih Muslim). 29. Did I keep praying regularly for my beloved Khalifa? Yes No Alhamdulillah, may Allah reward your sincerity.
